Brookhollow

About the project

This new construction in Chapel Creek - Frisco, Texas is an all masonry construction with distinctive diapering brickwork. There is a conditioned Wine Room with a combined wine tasting Wet Bar. The Living Room features a coffered beam ceiling and full height fireplace mantel. The Outdoor Loggia shown here has a grill area, a dining space and room to relax in front of the fireplace on cold winter evenings.

ARCHITECT'S CORNER

Many times the site, developers' deeds and covenants and homeowner guidelines dictate some of the restrictions of the home footprint. That was the case here. No garage door could face the street. The entire structure had to be enclosed some kind of masonry veneer such as brick, stone, or stucco for example and roof material is defined by the developer as well.

I placed the Media and Gameroom above the 3 car Garage so that no one would disturb activity in the rest of the house. The Media Room is separated from the Gameroom by several arched openings. Heavy curtains can be pulled to close off the Media Room and provide a great viewing experience. With the curtains pulled back, the Gameroom, Media Room and Card Rooms become one cohesive space. A Wet Bar and Powder Bath complete the gaming area.
