Brookhollow Media/Gameroom

About the project

This home features a combined Media and Gameroom separated by a wall with arched openings. The heavy curtains close off the Media Room and provides a great sound barrier to the rest of the house. In addition, there is a six hundred bottle climatized Wine Room.

ARCHITECT'S CORNER

I placed the Media and Gameroom above the 3 car Garage so that no one would disturb activity in the rest of the house. The Media Room is separated from the Gameroom by several arched openings. Heavy curtains can be pulled to close off the Media Room and provide a great viewing experience. With the curtains pulled back, the Gameroom, Media Room and Card Rooms become one cohesive space. A Wet Bar and Powder Bath complete the gaming area.

The audio/video cabinet has clear glass and is accessed from behind through a hidden door at the Wet Bar. Even though the Card Room is visible, you get a sense of privacy. With hand scraped oak floors and a coffered ceiling, an old world feeling is accomplished.
